Brief History of Nelson Signs

The 1950’s were a time of optimism and, in the first year of that decade, Bryan James Nelson decided to start a signwriting business. He used his skills to diversify into both screen-printing and t-shirt printing – eventually becoming one of the region’s foremost sign makers. Wisely, he committed himself to keep up with fast-moving technology and, in 1986, invested in his first specialised computer system.

In 1989 he sold the business to his son Brent and since then the company has diversified even further into the specialist field of road sign manufacturing.

Today, the latest computer systems, combined with the collective industry knowledge of their personnel, give Nelson Signs a distinct edge over their competitors in most aspects of sign making.
